People's Emergency Briefing
FREE COMMUNITY SCREENING
LandxSea Monthly returns to Montrose Playhouse this May with a special free screening of the PEOPLE’S EMERGENCY BRIEFING,
followed by an open community response discussion. What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?
This eye-opening new film brings together leading UK scientists and experts to share the latest evidence, and why it matters, from extreme weather and food security to health and the cost of living. The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.
After the screening, stay for an open community conversation facilitated by LandxSea co-founder Rachel Caplan, Angus Climate Hub coordinator Kate Munro and Sea Change artist Eve Mosher. This will be a space for people to share responses, questions and ideas, reflect on what the film means for Montrose and Angus, and think together about possible next steps locally. Seats are free, but booking is recommended as space is limited. Bring a friend, neighbour or family member—everyone is welcome.
This event is presented by LandxSea in partnership with Montrose Playhouse, Angus Climate Hub, Sea Change Montrose, and the UK Green Film Network.PT2H30M12A2026-05-14People's Emergency Briefing"People's Emergency Briefing"Showtimes
