The Producers

Directed by Mel Brooks, this dark comedy follows the outrageous scheme of two Broadway producers, Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom. Max, a washed-up producer, teams up with the timid and nervous accountant Leo to create the worst Broadway show ever in order to profit from its guaranteed failure. They set their sights on Springtime for Hitler, a deliberately awful musical about Adolf Hitler, but things go awry when the show becomes an unexpected success.
